Monday 10th September was the British Hairdressing Business Awards and I got to go! No, not as one of the shortlisted unfortunately, not even as a hairdresser. I was there with my other hat on, so to speak, ahem, there was no way I was wearing a hat to a very high profile hair awards I can assure you. Being lucky enough to work at the publishers that publish Hairdressers Journal magazine or HJ as it's affectionately known, I agreed to go along with their website's (HJi) Community Editor to help film for a webcast. And what a great night I had! I loved looking at all the glam hairstyles... it was easy to see that the popular look was still a bob, this time with a twist ie straight all the way around apart from the very front sections which were longer. It's a far cry from some of the other corporate awards 'dos' I've been to in the past and I have to say filming it was even more fun. I might add that I've a decent amount of experience with filming and editing so working on the night wasn't a problem. Not only did I get to experience the night I'm also learning more and more about the industry. Fab.
