My interest in hairdressing started when I was a "Saturday girl" in a local hairdressers fifteen years ago. I worked there for four years and remember absolutely loving it. During this time and ever since then I've cut and styled hair, not just on myself but friends, family and anyone that would let me loose on their locks, despite going down a completely different career path!
It was two and a half years ago that I decided to get a qualification in hairdressing.
Feeling quite confident and very keen that I would be able to keep up an evening course two nights a week for two years paid off... now I have an NVQ and am extremely proud of my new extra profession!
This blog is to share my experiences, network and learn as much as I can as a freelance hairdresser.
I currently work full time as a professional corporate communications executive at a global B2B publishing house. This publishing house publishes the industry title Hairdressers Journal International, lucky for me!
In no particular order and by no means the ONLY things I'm interested in... running, grazia magazine, nice hair, travelling to different locations, my family, my friends, Brighton, my boyfriend, my new house, good films, Thai food, red wine, Motown, The Hoosiers, Amy Winehouse, beautiful shoes, waking up without an alarm.
